The Educational Farm “il Rospetto”

The Educational Farm “il Rospetto” was born at the Il Rospetto Equestrian Center in 2013 with the idea of creating an environment where families and schools could visit and learn about many animals (mainly farm animals). This activity is one of the best educational farms in Florence to discover life in the countryside and the world of animals. An ideal environment for summer camps, school trips and educational workshops suitable for children of kindergartens, kindergartens, elementary schools.In this familiar environment, The Educational Farm “il Rospetto” offers children the opportunity to grow up in the green in contact with nature and animals, learning to respect and take care of the world around them.

School field trip programme:

Arrival/reception at Alessandra’s farm at around 9.30/10.00 a.m. Presentation of the day’s activities while enjoying a bruschetta snack (or, if available, olive oil ice cream made by the neighboring Apparita farm).

A tour of the farm with a visit to all the animals follows.

According to the children’s age, our guide will explain habits, the story of some of the animals and, when possible, they will be given the opportunity to get close to them, pick them up and feed them.

The half-day programme will end approximately at noon, or, those who have the possibility of staying for a few more hours, the picnic area is available for a simple packed lunch brought from home by each guest.

At the end of the visit educational materials concerning the morning’s visit will be given to the teachers so that they may continue this experience in the classroom.

Special day at the Il Rospetto Educational Farm: smells, colors, sounds that take you back to your childhood days. Children return to school full of a wonderful experience.
